Repetition is the mother of memory

Students must encounter the same ideas, texts, and skills repeatedly — at ever-deepening levels — before they become truly known. Mastery is not achieved in a single pass. The classical curriculum is intentionally spiral, returning to great ideas with richer understanding each time.
